A validator that pretends to know more than it does is worse than one that says so. This page is the honest inventory.
COUNTRY REGISTRY
Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Greenland and Sweden all carry a check digit inside the BBAN, but the algorithm varies by bank and the selection table is not published. Returning “not checked” is the correct answer — guessing one variant would reject other banks' valid accounts.
Senegal, Chad and Togo use an IBAN-like format but are not registered with ISO 13616. They are recognised here, and that limitation should be known.
For these countries the split into bank, branch and account is inferred from field labels rather than measured against published data. Validation is unaffected; only the breakdown could be off.
